Sara Pinckney
Team leader, lived in color specialist, stylist, extension master, educator, business coach, and transformation specialist.
Sara began her journey in the hair and beauty industry in 2009 when she enrolled at the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology. After graduating, she continued her education through an advanced training program at The Joe Hamer Salon, where she refined her skills and eventually became a master cutting and color specialist.
Sara later built strong roots at Miller and Mane Salon in Mill Valley, where she spent six years developing her craft and building lasting relationships with clients throughout Marin County and the greater Bay Area. During her time there, she helped spearhead the development of the salon’s education program while providing highly personalized color and haircut services to her loyal clientele.
In 2020, Sara opened Manes by Sara in downtown Mill Valley, creating a welcoming space where creativity, collaboration, and exceptional hair services could thrive. The salon was designed as a sanctuary for both clients and stylists — a place where artistry and thoughtful client experiences come together.
Throughout her career, Sara has remained passionate about the importance of connection, consultation, and creating an elevated salon experience. She believes beautiful hair is not only about technical skill, but about how a stylist listens, understands, and creates a style that truly fits each client’s lifestyle. This philosophy carries through both in her work behind the chair and in the education she provides to fellow stylists.
Sara previously spent over five years on the Goldwell Artist Team and is a certified Goldwell Master Colorist. She is also a highly experienced hair extension specialist in Mill Valley, with more than eight years of experience installing Great Lengths extensions, one of the most respected extension systems in the industry.
Today, clients travel from across Mill Valley, Marin County, and the Bay Area to see Sara for her signature lived-in blondes, dimensional color, textured haircuts, and seamless hair extensions designed to create effortless, natural-looking results.

Rachel Schuman
Hair Stylist & Color Specialist
Rachel began her journey in the beauty industry in 2010 when she enrolled at the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology, a Paul Mitchell Partner School. After graduating with honors, she continued her education through an advanced assistant training program at The Joe Hamer Salon in Petaluma, where she refined her skills and worked her way to becoming a senior cutting and color specialist. During this time, she joined the Joe Hamer team at their second location in the charming city of Mill Valley, beginning to build strong connections with clients throughout Marin County.
Rachel continued to expand both her technical skill and clientele across Marin County, working as an independent stylist in Sausalito before joining the team at Miller and Mane Salon in Mill Valley in 2017. There, she dedicated herself to mastering the art of effortless, lived-in, dimensional hair color, a signature service that has become one of her specialties. Rachel combines her passion for education and product knowledge with thoughtful consultations, ensuring that every guest leaves with the tools and confidence to recreate their style at home.
Deeply passionate about guest experience, Rachel believes that beautiful hair begins with listening and connection. She takes great care to provide a personalized, detail-oriented approach for each guest, creating results that feel natural, wearable, and uniquely suited to their lifestyle.
In 2018, while maintaining a thriving career behind the chair, Rachel returned to school to pursue a degree in Psychology. Fascinated by human behavior and the ways experiences shape who we are, her studies have strengthened her ability to build meaningful relationships with clients and provide a salon experience rooted in empathy, communication, and trust.
In 2020, Rachel joined the team at Manes by Sara in Mill Valley, where she continues to grow creatively and professionally within the unique and inspiring environment the salon offers. Clients throughout Mill Valley and Marin County know Rachel for her dedication to thoughtful consultations, beautiful dimensional color, and creating a signature style for every individual who sits in her chair.
Jordan Lundberg
Junior Stylist
Jordan, born and raised in Sonoma County, has aspired to be a hair stylist for as long as she can remember. After graduating high school in 2021, she immediately pursued her passion by enrolling in cosmetology school in San Francisco, where she began building the foundation of her career in the beauty industry.
After completing her training, Jordan joined the team at MBS Salon in Mill Valley as an assistant, where she quickly became known for her enthusiasm, dedication, and eagerness to learn. Working alongside Sara and the talented team of stylists at MBS, Jordan continues to expand her skills behind the chair while gaining hands-on experience with advanced techniques in color, styling, and hair extensions.
Jordan is currently in the salon daily, perfecting her blow-drying and styling techniques while working toward her long-term goal of specializing in dimensional hair color and seamless hair extensions. As of 2026, Jordan has stepped into her role as a Junior Stylist at MBS Salon and is now welcoming new clients.
Clients appreciate Jordan’s warm personality and attention to detail, as she works to create a comfortable and welcoming experience for everyone who sits in her chair.
Outside of the salon, Jordan enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring new places, and trying fun foods around the Bay Area. During the summer months you can often find her at the beach or singing along at a country music concert, making the most of the sunshine and good company.
Lisa Gordon
Hair Stylist & Color Specialist
With more than 35 years of experience in the beauty industry, Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge, artistry, and passion to her work behind the chair. Her career has taken her across North America, where she has built a reputation for both exceptional technical skill and a deep commitment to education.
Lisa began her career training under Martin Parsons in Toronto, Canada, before establishing her business in Cincinnati, Ohio. She later became a corporate educator, traveling to train stylists in more than 350 salons across the country. Her professional journey eventually brought her to Denver, Colorado, where she worked with some of the industry’s most respected professional brands including Redken, Paul Mitchell, Wella, Schwarzkopf, and L’Oréal Professionnel.
In 2014, Lisa fulfilled her dream of opening her own salon with the launch of F.u.e.l. Salon & Spa in Denver, which has since grown to include two successful locations. Throughout her career, Lisa has remained deeply passionate about mentoring stylists, sharing her knowledge, and helping others grow within the beauty industry.
Recently, Lisa and her husband relocated to Marin County, fulfilling another dream of living in the Bay Area. Now working with clients in Mill Valley and throughout Marin County, Lisa is excited to bring her decades of experience to a new community.
Known for her ability to build strong connections with her clients, Lisa prioritizes thoughtful consultations and personalized service. She understands the value of time and takes pride in her efficiency, attention to detail, and flexibility, creating beautiful results while delivering a seamless salon experience.
